This renovation, designed for a young and growing family, focused on creating an environment with modern flair and high style. Sleek glass light fixtures, clean-lined upholstery, graphic patterns, and bold art selections were key elements in shaping the interiors. De Gournay’s African Savannah was the first major design commitment, with the client selecting a custom color to achieve a high-contrast black-and-white palette. This choice gave the classic scene a more contemporary, almost photographic quality. The client’s favorite color — a very specific emerald green — is carried throughout the home, creating repetition, rhythm, and harmony.
